Stone Bridge Downs Jefferson to Reach Semifinals

After finishing the season with the best record in the Liberty District, the Stone Bridge Bulldogs looked every bit like the district's best team during a 55-38 win at home over Thomas Jefferson Tuesday night. Paced by another double-double from super-sophomore Murielle Tiernan, the Bulldogs advanced to the district semifinals where they face a tough McLean squad that beat the Bulldogs in overtime in their last matchup.

Bulldogs Bulldoze Madison, Claim District Lead

With win at home Tuesday, Stone Bridge avenged its previous loss to the Warhawks.
In a hard-fought, physical contest, the Bulldogs battled their way to a 7-point third quarter lead and performed just well enough to withstand a late rally by the Warhawks. With the win, Stone Bridge takes sole possession of first place in the Liberty District. The win also avenges the Bulldogs only loss this season, a 54-40 defeat at Madison on Dec. 21.
