Athletic Fee Due March 9th

Dear Parents of High School Athletes,

Beginning the fall of 2009, Loudoun County Public Schools will require that each student pay a non-refundable athletic fee of $100 for each sport in which he or she is a confirmed member. Athletes that tryout and become an official team member will be required to pay the athletic fee prior to the first official contest in order to be eligible to compete. The assessment of fees has been implemented at the direction of the School Board. There is no relationship between athletic fees to a guarantee of student playing time. Playing time for athletes is the sole decision of the Head Coach and his/her staff.

The fee will be waived for students that qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. The free and reduced lunch form must be completed by the parent to document eligibility. Athletic fees may be paid on-line by credit card through the Loudoun County Public Schools payment portal system or by cash, check or money order at the school. The payment portal system for the spring sports season will be available for use beginning Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

If you have any questions, please contact the high school which your son/daughter attends.

SBHS Payment Information:

· Final payment day will be on 3/9/2011 and will be handled by each team.

· Checks made out to SBHS

· Online payment is available, make sure to bring in a copy of your receipt on or before 3/9/2011 to expedite the process. There is a $2.98 charge for online payment.

o Go to Loudoun County Public Schools website

o Click on “Online Fees Payment” in the links to the left

o Click on “Student Athletic Fees”

o Click on the sport and then on the “Add selected item to shopping cart” button and then click “Next”

o Fill in the required information and Click “next”.

o Be sure to print a receipt

Parent Meeting & Picture Day

Picture Day will be March 9th on the courts at 5:40pm. You must have money on picture day in order to take the individual picture and/or if you want to order a team picture.

Parent Meeting will also be March 9th at 7pm in the cafeteria.
