The Stone Bridge Boys soccer team hosted the Herndon Hornets on Monday night falling by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs Junior forward Eamon Finan cut out a Herndon defender and took it to goal and finished to give the Bulldogs the lead. 16 minutes into the game. Herndon tied the score with just over four minutes to go in the first half.
Herndon came out strong in the second half and got the game winner 8 minutes into the second half. The Bulldogs created a few opportunities in the final 15 minutes but could not get the equalizer. Senior goalkeeper Gene Yim was very strong in goal for the Bulldogs coming up with 9 saves on the night. With the loss Stone Bridge falls to 2-3-1 on the year and will play again tomorrow night at home in their first Liberty District game against South Lakes. JV kicks off at 5:30 and the Varsity at 7 PM.
