The Stone Bridge girls soccer ended the week with a 4-1 win over the McLean Highlanders. The Bulldogs scored first off a free kick in the twelfth minute of the game from senior defender Alyssa Choo that was headed in by senior defender Brigitte Deel. With fifteen minutes remaining in the half, Choo took a corner kick that was again headed in by Deel. The Highlanders scored their only goal in the first half. In the second half of the game, junior forward Alexandra Addington took a shot that hit the post, but she was there the play the rebound back towards the goal where forward DJ Leonhardt finished it. The final goal of the night came from sophomore Heather Finney who fired a low shot past the keeper after being played a through ball from Leonhardt. Goalkeepers Katie Rhoads and Nikita Sharif each had a save in goal tonight. The Bulldogs will play again on Monday night at 7:30p when they take on the Broad Run Spartans.
