In a rematch of last year's 5A State Championship game, the Stone Bridge Girls Varsity soccer team hosted the Briar Woods Falcons on Monday night. However, the result was different as the Bulldogs came away with a 1-0 win. In the 35th minute of the game, junior Alyssa Choo took a corner for Stone Bridge. Freshman Amy Thompson redirected the ball with her head for the lone goal of the night. Defenders Brigitte Deel, Navi Sohi, Emma Dize, Olivia Severin and Connie Sanderson helped to keep the Falcons scoreless. Senior goalkeeper Hailey Corpe had 6 saves to earn the shutout.  The Bulldogs will host the Madison Warhawks on Friday night.
