The Stone Bridge girls soccer team advance to the 5A North Region Championship game with a 1-0 overtime win against Tuscarora. The Bulldogs scored 4 minutes into overtime after freshman Emily Fox headed a throw in towards the middle of the field. Sophomore Brigitte Deel was there to put the ball in the corner of the goal past the reach of the goalkeeper. Junior Hailey Corpe had 6 saves on the night.
With the win, the team improves to 16-3-1 on the season and will play Briar Woods on Friday night at 6:00pm at John Champe High School. The Bulldogs also advance to the State Tournament which will be held next week.
