Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Freedom

FREEDOM: 0
The Stone Bridge girls soccer team finished the regular season with a win over Freedom by a score of 1-0. The lone goal of the game came twelve minutes into the second half. Junior Lauren Brower took a corner kick for the Bulldogs that was deflected out by Freedom. However, senior Megan Della Penna sent the ball back in to sophomore Lindsay Gallagher who beat a defender and then shot low, near post for her first goal of the season. Junior Hailey Corpe had 8 saves on the night.
With the win, the team improves to 11-2-1 on the season and finish 3rd in Conference 14. The Bulldogs will begin the Conference Tournament on Wednesday night when they host Potomac Falls.
