The Stone Bridge Varsity Golf Team shot a best four of five score of 345 at the McLean High School sponsored George Pavlis Memorial Tournament at Hidden Creek Country Club, Reston, VA on August 8, 2016. Scoring for Stone Bridge was as follows: Abby Bloom, 79; Cameron Bender, 85; Matt Kapusta, 87; and Paul Thoppil, 93. Connor Steggerda who started in the fourth position was unable to complete his round because of illness. Stone Bridge's score meant a 6th place finish vs the 15 other schools and 17 other teams at this event. Abby Bloom posted her first score in the 70's at a high school tournament with her score of 79. Freshmn Paul Thoppil competed in his first high school tournament.
