Despite a warm day, the Stone Bridge cross-county team ran well at the Oatlands Invitational on Saturday. The Oatlands invitational hosted nearly 100 teams and is one of the premier races on the east coast. Each race had over 60 teams and over 350 runners.
The girls started the day by finishing 22nd out of 63 teams in the varsity A race. The girls were led by Meghan Preisman, Stacey Dec and Heather Stone.
The boys followed by finishing 7th out of 63 and were led by Andrew Matson and Jack Morton who finished 19th and 21st respectively and were individual medal winners. Joe Valle, Curt Doescher and Jack Lynch rounded out the top five runners for the boys. Matthew Sapsara also ran well in the JV race by finishing 6th.
The varsity team travels to the Six Flags Invitational in NJ this coming weekend
