This evening we the Stone Bridge Bulldog golfers defeated both Broad Run and Potomac Falls High Schools at 1757 Golf Course,  the home course for both teams.   The Bulldog golfers accepted the proposal to play both schools in a nine hole match at 1757, instead of the originally scheduled 18 hole match with Broad Run set for this afternoon at our home course, Belmont Country Club.   The Bulldogs won by one stroke to Broad Run (156) and by eight strokes over Potomac Falls (163).   The Bulldogs scored as follows:   Senior Abby Bloom shot a TWO UNDER PAR, 33!   She chipped in on the par five ninth hole to achieve that score with an eagle three.  Abby had one birdie and the eagle during her excellent round.  Abby was also low medalist for the tri-match and scored her first sub-par round of her high school golf career.   Sophomore Max Carollo, shot an outstanding 38 for his round with back to back birdies on holes four and five.   Seniors Cam Bender and Matt Kapusta shot 42s.   Both Matt and Cam proved resiliency during their rounds after experiencing some high numbers.  Matt birdied both holes eight and nine to shoot his 42.  Playing but not scoring for Stone Bridge, were Paul Thoppil who shot 48 and Justin Lisciandro who shot 47.  Justin had one birdie during his round on hole eight.  The Bulldogs golfers are now 4-0 for the 2016 season.    We now have scored 34 birdies on the season in competition!
