The Stone Bridge girls soccer team earned its first Conference 14 win with a score of 2-1 of Briar Woods. Eleven minutes into the game, sophomore Briana Alston took a free kick that senior Nieko Ridley headed first and then dribbled in and shot the ball past a diving Briar Woods keeper to put the Bulldogs on the board. In the second half, the Falcons tied up the game. However, with eight minutes left in the game, freshman Emily Fox took control of the ball at the midfield and then beat some defenders and sent the ball through to freshman Alexandra Addington. Addington dribbled the ball to the goal line and shot the ball into the goal mouth. The Briar Woods goalkeeper mishandled the ball, leading to a goal for the Bulldogs. Junior Hailey Corpe had 10 saves on the night.
