The Stone Bridge girls soccer team opened their season with a 1-0 win over the James Madison Warhawks. With less than 2 minutes of play left in the first half, the Bulldogs were given a free kick 5 yards outside of the penalty box. Freshman Emily Fox shot the ball past the Warhawk's wall. The goalie mishandled the ball and Freshman Alexandra Addington was there to follow up and put the ball in the back of the net.  

Junior Hailey Corpe earned her first career start in goal for the Bulldogs making three saves. The win was a complete team effort and the team returns to action on Tuesday when they host Fairfax High School.
